Embracing myself as I am and so should you

You and me as a work of art

I strongly believe that every individual is an artist in their own way, capable of creating something unique and beautiful that surpasses their imagination. If you just look around, you'll notice that even the most random and insignificant objects can be transformed into magnificent works of art. For instance, even rubbish or things that we consider worthless can be used to create something meaningful.

Hello there! My name is Alexa, but you can call me "Lexa" for short. I once created a butterfly using only junk, and it turned out to be a masterpiece that truly represents who I am as a person.

The Process

I was able to create a butterfly using old CDs, plastic spoons, and a thin metal wire. Firstly, I cut the CDs in half and attached them as wings to the body of the butterfly made out of spoons. As the final touch, I added a thin metal wire to the back of the spoon and curved it a little bit to act as an antenna. I drew eyes on the head, and the butterfly was complete!

Alexa the Butterfly

I used to be a shy and introverted girl, but as I extended my wings, all of my inner beauty was shown to others, and they saw me as a wonderful person that even I could not see those beauties. But not everyone has a keen eye; each butterfly has its distinct traits. I, on the other hand, is one of those unusual butterflies that people rarely encounter. I am that butterfly who sees the beauty of others but can not see my own beauty.

I love being of help to people, just like how a butterfly spreads joy by pollinating plants and making them bloom. This insect symbolizes reliance, as a person I am, I do not get shaken in minor difficulties but instead take it as a challenge to grow more. I keep reminding myself that I must trust the process and not doubt. Every experience in life is a cycle that we need to follow as we grow and understand.

Let life as it should be

Change is a significant matter to me because it allows me to grow and learn, and ultimately improve myself as a person. Just like a butterfly, which starts as a caterpillar, every stage of life requires change. Whether we like it or not, change is inevitable and we will all encounter it at some point in our lives. As we transform into new versions of ourselves, we must fully embrace the change.
